Twisted Scriptures: Die to Self, Die Daily, Increase And Decrease And Kill the Flesh

“Die to self” isn’t written anywhere in the Bible. It’s a human addition to satisfy our religious appetites. Additionally, Paul’s declaration of “dying daily” has been misinterpreted and John the Baptist’s words of “decreasing and increasing” has received its share of modern day religious abuse. None of these ways deal with the flesh. You can’t kill the flesh. We only deal with the flesh by the renewal of the mind through God’s word, as the Holy Spirit helps us.
